Fandom High Office, Friday, June 16
Jun. 16th, 2006 07:02 amAfter a day of investigation, the Fandom trooper assigned to the stapler case had found the culprit. He had asked questions, examined the evidence, and at the end, checked a little-used closet on a hunch. Sure enough, a gremlin was in the closet. The gremlin was living inside a stapler fort. And now he was being disturbed.
The gremlin charged out of his fort, teeth bared. When he tried to bite the trooper. his teeth broke on the armor. The trooper responded by kicking the gremlin in the face, breaking more of his teeth and sending him head-first into the wall of the closet.
The impact caused a bowling ball - don't ask - to fall from the top shelf and strike the trooper in his helmeted head. No severe damage was done to the head of either trooper or gremlin, but when it was all over both had a wacky urge to work in the FH Office when they didn't before. The head injuries were a likely explanation for this, but nobody could prove that wanting to work in the office was a sign of brain damage.
They would both be trained over the next week and work happily as Fred Trooper and Bob Gremlin, FH Office Drones. The staplers were returned to their rightful owners. And Bob Gremlin went to a dentist and got false teeth. They didn't allow for the transmittal of venom, but he seemed happy just to be working.
