"Sure thing, soldier," Fred Trooper said. He opened up his filing cabinet, pulled out a form, and handed it to Willow.

"This looks to be in order. A maintenance specialist will handwavily be by your room later this afternoon to deliver your new twin mattress and dispose of your old one," Fred Trooper said.

"Thank you very much." Willow said. She left the trooper a chocolate chip cookie.

That was considerate. Fred Trooper opened a pouch on his belt and put the cookie in there for safe keeping. You never knew when the Separatists might attack this independent planet, leaving you in the middle of a battle zone with no time to stop at the vending machine.

The cookie surely tasted like preparedness.
