It was the second day of school and the office workers were fearful. The first day was all about niceties, politeness and finding your way to and from classrooms. The second day is when everything went to...well, the word with the double hockey sticks. Today is when students would be breaking down the door, wanting out of classes and whining about not realizing they were taking an advanced level class and could they please go remedial.

And that is why the office workers had barred the office door. It was just better that way.
