There were, however, the remains of fruit. Satisfied that the fruit basket hadn't been concealing anything dangerous, the office staff had fallen upon it like ravenous beasts.
Herbivore beasts, granted, but still, there were many fruit exteriors scattered about the place. Including a banana peel.
Sitting there, in the middle of the floor.
Lurking.
