They were even more surprised that it was rocking slightly. After exchanging glances, they constructed a comfy nest for it out of shredded paper (like anyone ever really looked at student's permanent records, anyway) and set it up under a lamp.
And then waited.
And waited.
And waited.
After an hour or so, they realised nothing was going to happen and went back to work.

Time for me to harangue, beg, tempt, cajole, and, yes, if necessary, seduce one of our fabulous teachers into taking detention!
